In an ideal world, you'd be able to simply plug front-end systems into your existing Policy Management environment. But unfortunately, we didn't get to write the rules. So we did the next best thing. We wrote the software to make it happen... as easily as possible.
Through our software division, we created OSEA (OARBIC Software Enterprise Application) - insurance software designed by IT insurance professionals that brings Internet, Extranet, Portal and multi-level architectural flexibility to back office transaction processing systems.
OSEA is a Transactional Insurance Portal architected in 3 layers providing a customizable front end and a dynamic link to one or many legacy systems, while optionally externalizing business rules and workflows. It is a technology framework, using ACORD/CSIO XML standards, designed by insurance consultants to provide carriers with market agility and brokers with straight through processing, while leaving the mostly static, yet complex "back end" processing in the legacy system.
OSEA provides a method of incremental Policy Management legacy system revitalisation without the risk and costs associated with the more traditional "replacement" type projects. OSEA provides a modern architecture to facilitate change in the more volatile areas of policy management systems while enabling review and redevelopment options within the more static areas. OSEA ultimately enables a complete Service Oriented Architecture for your policy management processing.
OSEA gathers data, through its HTML screens or through industry type interfaces as well as data from the Legacy System(s). It then applies edits, third party data, underwriting rules and cross data verification to gather, in its "work in progress" database, all the required information for the transaction at hand. OSEA then passes, through custom API's, the transaction data to the legacy system(s) for processing, storage, downstream printing, reporting and other interfaces.
OSEA provides 95% of the business value of a "replacement" project with 50% of the effort / cost and 10% of the risk.
