OARBIC Joins CSIO

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Centre for Study of Insurance Operations (CSIO) announces OARBIC as a new CSIO Vendor Member. Toronto, September 7th, 2001 – CSIO today announced that OARBIC has become its newest vendor member.

CSIO vendor members provide standards based products and services to CSIO company members and their broker partners. Canadian P&C brokers are members of CSIO through the Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC).

OARBIC has been providing project teams and experienced P&C business and technical consultants to the Canadian Property and Casualty insurance industry since early 2000. OARBIC brings together consultants with wealth of knowledge in the implementation and the ongoing evolution of P&C Policy Management systems. OARBIC President, Anthony Kumnick, confirmed, “OARBIC is very excited about the CSIO Insurance Portal initiative. Despite our relatively short period of operations, we have an enormous amount of industry experience. Many of our consultants have extensive P&C, EDI and CSIO experience allowing OARBIC to bring real value to CSIO and its members. Our current work of web enabling our customer’s legacy systems is one example of how we can offer valuable services to other CSIO member companies.”

Klaas Westera, President of CSIO, stated that “we are very pleased that OARBIC has joined CSIO. Their background in CSIO EDI and web enablement of legacy systems will put them in an excellent position to offer these and other services to our membership.” He went on to confirm “the CSIO Portal is creating an increasing need for such services within our industry”.

OARBIC was founded in April 2000 to provide a development base and consulting services to clients in the Property and Casualty Insurance sector. OARBIC resources itself globally thus capitalizing on an extensive network of experienced professionals. The OARBIC team represents a core of P&C competence and consists of a number of IT consultants of business and systems experience with proven legacy systems expertise. When designing and developing solutions OARBIC strives for simplicity, maintainability, and functionality, taking its clients to the next level of effectiveness through technological efficiency. The Centre for Study of Insurance Operations (CSIO) is a national organization, supported and funded by committed broker insurance companies and the broker community through the Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC).
